Our remote team of 50 members operates collaboratively to drive impactful, sustainable solutions for climate-related challenges.

    About Climate Collective’s Impact Vertical

    We work with a large portfolio of climate tech startups, supporting them in measuring and communicating their climate impact to investors and clients. To enable this, we’ve developed practical, easy-to-use impact measurement tools focused on both climate mitigation and adaptation & resilience—built in collaboration with leading ecosystem support organizations (ESOs) and climate-focused impact investors.

    We’ve also contributed to the broader ecosystem through knowledge products such as a Climate Metrics Guide for Small and Growing Businesses with the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs and climate impact -focused startup case studies, in collaboration with Prime Coalition.

    As we expand our in-house impact measurement toolkits across multiple climate tech domains, we’re looking for a professional who can help drive this next phase of work.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the team in research and critical analysis of impact frameworks and tools
    • Work closely with startup founders to understand business models, define impact boundaries, and identify relevant metrics
    • Develop and customise impact assessment tools (primarily in MS Excel) for startup use cases across sectors
    • Coordinate with clients, partners, and collaborators, ensuring clear and timely communication
    • Maintain detailed meeting notes and translate discussions into actionable insights for project tracking
    • Assist the team in planning and managing events, training sessions, and workshops

    Requirements

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in environmental engineering, sustainability, or related fields
    • Strong understanding of climate change, mitigation, adaptation & resilience, and impact metrics
    • 2–3 years of relevant work experience in climate impact metrics
    • Familiarity with the startup ecosystem and climate investing landscape would be a bonus

    About the role:

    We are looking for a talented and versatile digital content creator to join our communications team. This is a hands-on production role for someone who thrives on making compelling graphics and short-form videos that bring complex ideas to life for diverse audiences. 

    You will work closely with the communications team across multiple projects – including the Club of Rome, The 50 Percent, Earth4All and The Fifth Element – to deliver high-quality visual and video content at pace, across a range of styles and briefs. You are a skilled executor as well as a creative thinker, equally comfortable following a detailed brief and proactively bringing fresh ideas to the table. 

    Responsibilities:

    Content production 

    • Design and produce social media graphics, carousels and short-form videos for use across Instagram, LinkedIn, Bluesky, YouTube and other emerging platforms as required. 
    • Deliver content in a range of visual styles, adapting to the distinct brand identities of multiple projects and initiatives. 
    • Work to quick turnarounds without compromising quality, managing multiple briefs simultaneously. 
    • Supporting other members of the comms team on copywriting and other ad-hoc communications related tasks. 

    Collaboration and briefing 

    • Work closely and collaboratively with the team to understand project goals, audiences, and messaging before developing content.

    Person specification:

    Essential 

    • 5+ years of demonstrable experience producing high-quality, engaging social media graphics and short-form video/reels. 
    • Proficiency in design and video editing tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent). 
    • Ability to adapt visual style across different brands and project briefs. 
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, formats and what makes content perform. 
    • Excellent time management: able to handle multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines. 
    • A collaborative, communicative working style – proactive about asking questions, responsive to feedback, and easy to work with across a team.

    The Role

    As the Growth Coordinator, you will play a critical role in driving audience acquisition, engagement, and pipeline generation across ACLED’s core customer and partner segments. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with ownership over key growth channels including email campaigns, webinars, events, and product communications initiatives. You will be responsible for building and scaling programs that convert ACLED’s global audience into active users, partners, and customers.

    You will work cross-functionally with sales, research, and leadership to translate ACLED’s data and insights into compelling campaigns that drive measurable growth.     Specific Roles and Responsibilities

    Email & Automation

    The consultancy opportunity

    ACLED is looking for a West Africa Researcher to assist in the collection, review and management of political violence and protest data across West Africa Countries, particularly the Sahel and Nigeria. The Researcher must be available for a minimum of 25 hours per week. This opportunity is fully remote and can be done from any location with reliable internet service. 

    This is an entry-level, independent consultant opportunity, and may require submissions mid-week and on weekends.

    Collection of data is conducted by reviewing news, international organization, NGO and security reports on a list of assigned countries, and recording the incidents of political violence into an Excel template. Researchers will focus on coding events to provide holistic coverage of current political violence, ranging from protests to battles.

    Review and management of data involves ensuring the quality, consistency and reliability of the data produced. The researcher provides team members with experience conducting detail-oriented tasks, and producing and managing quantitative data.

    Specific deliverables:

    Candidates who are selected will undergo extensive ACLED training. The training consists of several exercises. Candidates’ exercises will be scrutinized and only those who are performing at the required level will be retained as Researchers.  

    For those selected, the initial consultancy period will be from May 15, 2026 to June  302027. After this, continuation may be possible, pending performance and availability of funding.

    Job Description:

    TCI is managing multiple ongoing workstreams and has a docket of reports, briefs and documents that require consolidation, structuring and drafting support. The Secretariat team requires additional capacity to help organize existing materials, produce clean draft outputs and support completion of documentation deliverables. The Research Assistant will provide structured writing and documentation support to help manage the same. The role focuses on drafting and editing (based on existing materials), collating andorganizing inputs, and supporting the Secretariat to produce clear, consistent and submission ready documents.

    The Research Assistant will report to Director of Advocacy & Research and will also work with Secretariat focal points assigned as per the report.

    Tasks:

    1. Support the Secretariat Team in:
    • Drafting, editing, and writing of reports/sections, and short documents from existing internal documentation.
      • Organizing information material available in the form of notes, minutes, transcripts, links, etc., with clean records of initial drafts, track changed document and final drafts.
      • Conducting desk research as needed to address the data/information gaps (policy reference,policy and legal frameworks, and references (citation, and source links, etc.).
    • Maintaining regular feedback mechanisms with the Secretariat through weekly touch base calls and email updates, as and when needed.

    Specific Deliverables:

    The Research Assistant will support completion of the following 7 documents.

    • TCI Plenary Report (1) (up to 30-32 pages): TCI Plenary is an event where members, peers and allies gather to exchange experiences, strengthen capacities, share learnings and collectively imagine solutions for ensuring inclusion of persons with psychosocial disabilities in disability and development agenda. This particular report is of the plenary conference that happened in 2024. Concept note and documentation notes along with a few video recordings of panels are available as reference materials which will be utilized to draft this report.

    Deliverable: Draft report for feedback from Secretariat; fully structured and final draft incorporating feedback from Secretariat, ready for dissemination.

    • Country Mission Reports (5) (up to 20-22 pages each; similar templates): Country Missions are mobilization visits organized with the aim of identifying, engaging and working with movements of persons of psychosocial disabilities in the region. As a way of bringing persons with psychosocial disabilities, empower their OPDs and dialogue with multiple stakeholders, these are also spaces for capacity building and networking. These reports are for 5 country mission that happened between 2023-2024. Concept note, documentation notes, pictures are available as reference materials which will be utilized to draft this report.

    Deliverable: Draft report for feedback from Secretariat following a mutually agreed structure/template; fully structured and final draft incorporating feedback from Secretariat, ready for dissemination

    • Deinstitutionalization Webinar Report (1) (already drafted; restructuring and edits required): TCI conducted a 4-part webinar series on deinstitutionalization in 2021. This series aimed to elaborate real world examples on different components of the deinstitutionalization process. A draft report has been prepared, but it will need restructuring and editing to prepare it in its final form.

    Deliverable: Draft report for feedback from Secretariat; fully edited and polished final report.

    Each report will be delivered as a full, submission ready document, including all standard components (as applicable): table of contents, list of abbreviations/acronyms, executive summary, introduction/background, key highlights, conclusions, recommendations, and annexes/references, with formatting and internal consistency aligned to the discussed template.

    Cross-cutting deliverables (applies to all reports):

    • Docket (google drive folders) of organized notes/materials and links used for each report.
      • A simple progress tracker updated weekly (using google sheets/excel sheet).
      • Clean final versions in Google Docs or Word, with tracked changes where requested.
      • List of references of cited sources.

    Preferred Experience

    • At least 2 years in disability rights/inclusion documentation OR evidence of CRPD-aligned drafting through writing samples.
      • Strong report drafting and editing skills (ability to structure long documents) and ability to synthesize raw inputs into coherent and readable text.
      • Assignment requires strong time management and ability to work with feedback and deadlines.
      • Comfort handling sensitive/internal information with discretion.

    • Recruit participants for online learning opportunities with other staff members. 
    • Support participants in effectively using People Powered resources and capacity-building programs through regular communication, problem-solving, and reminders. 
    • Manage content updates and community interactions through the learning management system. Track program progress through project and data management tools, with the assistance of other staff members.  
    • Support planning and coordination of technical improvements of People Powered resources, including the development of new technology with partners and developers.

    Desired Experience and Skills

    Essential

    • Three years of relevant work experience in program support or delivery, training, community engagement, or communications for nonprofit or nongovernmental organizations.
    • Alignment with the People Powered mission and values. Demonstrated experience and/or interest in participatory democracy, civic engagement, community empowerment, equity and/or policymaking.
    • Demonstrated experience with instructional design, online facilitation, and/or training platforms. Demonstrated experience supporting people to learn and/or use tools and knowledge content.
    • Demonstrated working proficiency in English. Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in clear, compelling, and accessible ways that translate well across languages and contexts.
    • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability and desire to collaborate with people from diverse cultures, being mindful of and sensitive about cultural differences and power dynamics.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong computer skills, especially with Google Workspace products.
    • A flexible and growth-oriented mindset.

    • Proficiency in another language such as French, Spanish or Portuguese
    • Experience living and working in more than one country, including in the Global South.
    • Experience with Asana, Zoom, and project management tools.
    • Experience with coding, technology strategy and/or technology implementation. Experience with AI tools.

    Purpose of role 

    The Country Director, Uganda, will provide strategic leadership, vision, oversight over the operations in Uganda and external representation for SFLU, ensuring the delivery of the 5-Year Strategy through effective partnerships, program alignment, and organisational sustainability.

    Primary responsibilities

    The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:

    Strategic leadership

    • Co-design the development of and lead the implementation of SFLU’s 5-Year Strategy and annual operational plans.
    • Drive the alignment of programs and systems with SFL Australia’s (SFLA) global priorities, ensuring synergy across all strategic pillars.
    • Represent SFLU at senior levels with donors, partners, and government, positioning SFLU as a credible, values-based development partner.
    • Foster a learning and performance-driven culture across the organisation.
    • Identify and pursue new strategic opportunities and partnerships to sustain growth.
       

    Program & impact leadership 

    • Oversee the delivery of high-quality education and community development programs that are evidence-based and scalable.
    • Champion the constant improvement of these programs, working closely with the department heads. This includes the identification of potential partnerships to ensure this is executed innovatively and efficiently.
    • Ensure robust program planning, implementation, and monitoring systems are in place and effectively managed.
    • Partner with the MEL & Research team to track results, evaluate impact, derive data-driven insights and respond by embedding learning across programs.
    • Ensure compliance with donor, legal, and organisational requirements in all program operations.
    • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to enhance program relevance and efficiency.

    Organisational leadership & people management

    • Build, develop, and inspire a strong, accountable, and high-performing leadership team.
    • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the department heads and other leaders within the organisation.

    • Maintain transparent and accountable reporting to the SFLU Board, SFLA management, and donors.
    • Oversee effective risk management, internal controls, and audit readiness in collaboration with the broader leadership team and Finance team.
    • Promote ethical conduct, good governance, and stewardship of resources across all operations.
    • Ultimate responsibility for all Board and Committee reporting, managing the Company Secretary and ensuring papers are drafted and shared with Committee/ Board members ahead of meetings.

    Financial & operational stewardship 

    • Provide strategic oversight of financial planning, resource mobilisation, and budget management.
    • Collaborate with the Finance team to maintain compliance, cost control, and donor reporting standards.
    • Identify efficiencies and innovations that enhance value-for-money and operational impact.
    • Collaborate with the Finance team to develop the annual organisational budget.

    External relations, partnerships & advocacy 

    • Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with donors, government institutions, and community partners.
    • Represent SFL in key forums, networks, and advocacy platforms within Uganda and internationally.
    • Enhance SFL’s visibility and reputation through thought leadership and evidence-based advocacy.
    • Maintain effective collaboration and communication with SFLA, ensuring alignment of strategy, messaging, and impact reporting.

    Profile

    Required qualifications & experience

    • Minimum of 8–10 years of senior management experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams in complex development or education settings.
    • Proven experience in strategic planning, organisational management, and external relations.
    • Strong understanding of the Ugandan and East African context, including governance, culture, and development dynamics.
    • Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded programs and ensuring compliance with international standards.
    • Exceptional leadership, people management, and financial acumen.
    • Advanced degree in Education, Development Studies, Business Administration, or related field.
