    • Advising: Serving as a knowledge hub and trusted partner, providing guidance on methane mitigation strategies, data sharing, and field-building.

    Purpose of role 

    The People and Operations Associate will support the operational and administrative aspects of people processes, across GMH’s globally distributed team of 40+ employees in 17+ countries. This role will focus on executing tasks related to the logistics and coordination of recruitment, employee onboarding, and day-to-day HR administration while serving as a key point of contact with our Professional Employer Organisation (PEO) and Employer of Record (EOR) partners.

    The Associate will report to the People and Operations Senior Manager and work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to deliver operational excellence in people-related processes.

    Primary responsibilities

    The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:

    Recruitment and Onboarding Support

    • Coordinate all logistical aspects of recruitment processes including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews across multiple time zones, and managing candidate communications throughout the hiring process as directed.
    • Manage interview scheduling and coordination for hiring managers, ensuring seamless candidate experience and efficient use of time.
    • Assist with onboarding logistics including IT setup, orientation session coordination, and ensuring new hires receive all necessary materials and information.
    • Support coordination with EOR/PEO for contract processing, reference checks, and compliance documentation.
    • Maintain organized records of all recruitment and onboarding activities
       

    PEO/EOR Liaison and Vendor Coordination

    • Support day-to-day liaison activities with Employer (PEO) and Atlas (EOR), ensuring smooth HR operations support with manager guidance.
    • Assist with payroll payments, benefits administration, and compliance requirements with PEO/EOR partners, coordinating closely with the Finance & Admin team.
    • Help maintain accurate employee records and support compliance with local regulations through effective PEO partnership.
    • Assist the People and Operations Senior Manager in coordinating the performance management processes and tracking completion of reviews.
    • Track and file the professional development requests.
    • Manage day-to-day coordination with external recruiters, IT service providers, training providers, and consultants.
       

    IT Operations and Support

    • Support compliance with cybersecurity policies and assist with cybersecurity training initiatives.
    • Coordinate with the managed IT service provider for technical support requests and issue resolution.
    • Manage IT onboarding/offboarding including equipment provisioning, account setup, and access management.
    • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and coordinate deployment, returns, and replacements for remote team members.
    • Support software licensing, procurement, and user access management in coordination with the IT service provider.
    • Assist with rollout of new software tools and systems across the organisation.
    • Track IT-related expenses and Technology benefits in coordination with the FinAdmin team.

    Administrative Support

    • Provide administrative support for the People Operations function.
    • Support training and development logistics including vendor coordination, scheduling, materials dissemination, and participant communication.
    • Provide logistical and administrative support for employee engagement and culture initiatives, including well-being sessions, team workshops, culture surveys, and all-staff meetings.
    • Help maintain and update staff databases, and tracking tools related to people operations.
    • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and materials for internal stakeholders and teams.
    • Support compliance tracking and reporting for internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Profile

    Experience & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree required with 3+ years of work experience in human resources, operations, administration, or other relevant HR support roles, preferably in an international organisation.
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
    • Experience with operational aspects of recruitment, onboarding, or employee lifecycle management required.
    • Experience in the non-profit, foundation, or philanthropic sector is highly valued.
    • Familiarity with multi-country employment structures or international HR operations, preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications required; familiarity with HRIS systems preferred.
    • Interest in working with Professional Employer Organisations (PEOs) or similar HR service providers.
    • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail with ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Ability to complete assigned tasks independently while seeking guidance for more complex work.

    Terms and conditions

    • This will be a full-time (40 hours/week) remote role and will require time flexibility to collaborate with staff and stakeholders in multiple time zones. The position supervisor is in the GMT+1 time zone
    • Occasional travel may be required for staff retreats or organisational events (~10%).

    Purpose of role 

    The Operations & Finance Officer exists to support the finance function by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant recording of financial transactions. The role focuses on reviewing, verifying, and recording financial data across multiple platforms into the organisation’s accounting system.

    This role operates in an international context, handling transactions across multiple countries, currencies, and regulatory environments.

    The role collaborates with the Head of Finance and the Finance Officer to ensure financial data is recorded on a timely and accurate basis.

    A central part of the role is to ensure the integrity, completeness, and traceability of financial data across systems, while supporting operational and compliance processes in Belgium and across the organisation’s global footprint.

    This is a highly responsible role for a meticulous, detail-oriented professional who is comfortable handling global and multi-entity transactions.

    Primary responsibilities

    Engagement

    The Operations & Finance Officer works in collaboration with several stakeholders. Key relationships include the following.

    Internally, this role will:

    • Report to the Head of Finance and will benefit from technical supervision and support from the Finance Officer.
    • Collaborate with the Programme and Grants teams to ensure financial data aligns with approved budgets, contracts, and donor requirements.
    • Partner closely with the Admin & Operations team to ensure all invoices, contracts, and grant documentation are complete, accurate, and properly archived.
    • Provide day-to-day financial and administrative support to internal stakeholders, helping resolve queries and ensuring smooth operational processes.

    Externally, this role will:

    • Liaise with banks and financial institutions to support account management, transactions, and the resolution of queries or discrepancies.
    • Coordinate with external auditors by preparing documentation, responding to queries, and supporting audit processes.
    • Work closely with EY Tax & Compliance colleagues (or equivalent advisors) to ensure timely and accurate tax filings, statutory submissions, and regulatory compliance.
    • Engage with local service providers in Belgium (e.g. payroll providers, legal advisors, and administrative agents) to support operational and compliance requirements.
    • Facilitate communication and documentation flow between the organisation and relevant Belgian authorities, as required.
    • Ensure all external interactions are well-documented, timely, and aligned with organisational policies and compliance standards.

    Delivery

    The Operations & Finance Officer is accountable for delivering the following outcomes:

    Finance responsibilities

    • Review and verify financial transactions recorded across internal platforms (e.g. Airbase, Airtable, Fluxx) for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
    • Perform timely and accurate data entry into the organisation’s accounting software.
    • Ensure correct coding of transactions in line with the chart of accounts, projects, budgets, and donor requirements.
    • Reconcile bank accounts, corporate credit cards, and debit cards on a regular basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
    • Maintain organised and audit-ready supporting documentation.
    • Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies and proactively follow up for resolution.

    Operations & compliance responsibilities

    • Support administrative processes related to vendor management, contracts, and service providers in Belgium.
    • Maintain and track a compliance calendar to ensure timely submissions of statutory, tax, and regulatory filings.
    • Liaise with external service providers (e.g. tax advisors, legal counsel, payroll providers) to ensure completeness and accuracy of filings.
    • Coordinate with Belgian authorities and relevant institutions as required, under guidance from senior finance staff.
    • Prepare documentation and supporting schedules required for VAT, statutory, and regulatory filings.
    • Support audit processes by ensuring documentation is complete, accessible, and aligned with compliance requirements.
    • Maintain organised records of contracts, agreements, and official filings in line with organisational and legal requirements.

    Additional responsibilities

    • Liaise with Tax & Compliance service providers (e.g. EY) to ensure tax filings, statutory submissions, and regulatory obligations are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
    • Support coordination of Belgian and EU regulatory requirements, ensuring documentation and processes are aligned with applicable frameworks.
    • Assist in preparing documentation and responses for audits, legal reviews, or regulatory inquiries.

    Profile

    This is a junior to mid-level position, suitable for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong bookkeeping fundamentals and the ability to work with multiple systems

    Essential role requirements and experience

    • 2–5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role.
    • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliations.
    • Experience working with accounting software and digital financial platforms.
    • Experience handling global/multi-entity transactions is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with multi-currency accounting is an advantage.
    • Fluency in English (written and spoken) with proficiency in Flemish or French is an asset.
    • Experience in non-profit/donor-funded environments is an asset.
    • Ability to travel internationally for conferences and team meetings. once a year.
    • Must be based in Belgium (Brussels preferred).
    • Familiarity with Belgian accounting, VAT, and regulatory environment is strongly preferred.
    • Experience liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, or legal service providers.
    • Ability to work within European regulatory frameworks.

    Optional but strong addition 

    • Experience with tools such as Airbase, Airtable, Fluxx, or similar financial and grant management systems is an advantage.

    Purpose of role 

    The Grants & Administration Coordinator exists to be the expert owner of the grants and contracts processing for our projects and serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing grants and contracts processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness throughout the lifecycle.

    The role collaborates with the fundraising, programme, finance and MEL teams across the full grant-making lifecycle: including application preparation, processing, tracking, award setup, modifications, and closeout activities.

    A central part of the role is ensuring all agreements are compliant with organisational policies, relevant legal and regulatory requirements and funder requirements, as well as maintaining organised and up-to-date records of all grant documentation, agreements, budgets, and correspondence for audit readiness and reporting purposes.

    This is a highly responsible role for an experienced and meticulous professional who is comfortable operating as the lead officer across our projects, someone motivated by supporting the implementation of our new processes and able to proactively propose improvements.

    The role will ensure that our partnerships with international donors, grantees and contractors are built on a solid foundation

    Engagement

    The Grants & Administration Coordinator works cross-functionally and builds strong collaborative relationships across multiple teams to ensure effective grant and contract management.

    Key relationships include:

    Internal

    • Collaborate with the Fundraising Team during the award proposal cycle, supplying administrative services and ensuring required documents are ready and available.
    • Collaborate with the finance team and grant project leads to ensure that all financial activity aligns with funder guidelines and organisational policies.
    • Partner closely with programme leads and project teams to ensure outgoing grants applications and reports are managed in a timely manner, ensuring activities align with grant requirements. Provide guidance on compliance, allowable costs, and documentation standards.
    • Coordinate with the Grants Administration Team on contract review, approvals, and adherence to regulatory and organisational requirements. Ensure agreements are properly executed and maintained.

    External – working with donors, grantees and relevant service contractors located in various geographies

    • Funders: act as a primary point of contact for administrative matters, including compliance inquiries.
    • External auditors: support the Grants and Admin Head providing required documentation, responding to inquiries, and supporting audit processes to ensure compliance.
    • Grantee partners: collecting necessary admin information.
    • Vendors and contractors: communicate regarding contract terms, documentation requirements, and administrative processes.

    Profile

    The role requires discretion, sound judgment, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work confidently with people holding different forms of authority and expertise.

    Responsibilities

    The Grants & Administration Coordinator is accountable for delivering the following outcomes:

    • End-to-end grant and contract management: lead the preparation, review, and finalisation of different types of grants, contracts and other agreements within our internal systems. You will be the primary point of contact for ensuring agreements are processed accurately and efficiently.
    • Compliance and risk mitigation: ensure all agreements are fully compliant with both organisational policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements. You will identify potential risks in agreement language and proactively resolve issues with grantees, consultants, and internal legal counsel.
    • Data stewardship and integrity: uphold the highest standards of data responsibility. You will manage sensitive information according to strict protocols regarding data retention, deletion, and secure sharing, ensuring compliance with GDPR and Belgian privacy law, as well as our internal values.
    • Systems and reporting: maintain records in our shared database. You will generate reports and provide critical data insights to Grants and Finance Leads.
    • Process innovation and systems thinking, you will be empowered to help create and refine working practices and you will actively contribute feedback on evolving policies and identify opportunities to improve our grant management tools and systems to better serve our partners.

    Experience

    • Experienced in climate philanthropy and grant making entities across multiple geographies.
    • In addition to fluency in English, professional ability in additional languages is a plus.
    • Proven international experience in grants management, contract administration, ideally within a philanthropic, non-profit, or international development context.
    • Proficiency with CRM or grant management software. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills are a plus.
    • Strong working knowledge of GDPR compliance and data protection principles.
    • Ability to travel internationally for conferences and team meetings.

    Global Energy Monitor is seeking an experienced Grants Finance Manager to join our Finance & Operations team.

    The Grants Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all grant funding is tracked, allocated, and spent in alignment with funder requirements. A key member of the Finance & Operations team & Development team, this role also works closely with Program Directors to build grant budgets, monitor spending, and prepare financial reports. The Grants Finance Manager maintains a clear, organization-wide view of how grants support programs, staff, and operations. They help program staff understand available funding and identify gaps. This position also builds and improves systems for tracking grant finances across multiple funding sources.

    GEM is funded primarily through a complex portfolio of restricted program grants, alongside a growing base of more flexible funding. As the organization has scaled, so has the need for stronger systems and clearer visibility into how funds are managed. This role plays a central part in building and maintaining that infrastructure by creating reliable, organization-wide insight into how grants support programs and staff, while improving the tools and processes that support planning, compliance, and decision-making across teams.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Grant Budgeting and Financial Management

    • Work with Program Directors and Development staff to build grant budgets for proposals.
    • Manage multiple grant budgets with different restrictions across programs.
    • Lead grant expense allocation process.
    • Own tracking of grant spending to ensure grant funds are used correctly and stay on budget.
    • Maintain a clear understanding of what each grant funds, including staff and program costs.

    Grant Reporting and Funder Compliance

    • Build simple month-by-month views of funding and expenses. Grow this to include 3-year funding projections by program.
    • Help teams use this information for planning and fundraising.

    Organizational Systems and Support

    • Build and improve tools and processes that help staff understand their grant budgets and funding.
    • Play a key role in shaping how the organization manages and plans around grant funding.
    • Turn complex financial data into clear, useful insights for teams across the organization.
    • Be a go-to resource for questions about grants and budgets.
    • Support cross-team coordination when required.

    Global Energy Monitor is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance & Operations team.

    The Controller is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and usability of Global Energy Monitor’s financial data and systems. This role leads the accounting function end-to-end, including oversight of financial data and systems, and ensures that financial information can be trusted to support real-time organizational decision-making.

    Working with the support of the Finance & Operations Director, the GEM Finance team, and an outsourced accounting firm, the Controller is responsible for building and maintaining the financial infrastructure that enables clear visibility into available restricted and unrestricted resources, alignment between spending and grant requirements, and confidence in hiring and investment decisions.

    Splash is at an inflection point.     The IPA Uganda Finance Department is responsible for all financial functions in Uganda, including accounting, payments and banking, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and grant financial management and compliance.     • 3 years progressive experience in Financial Accounting 
    • A minimum of 1 year post qualification experience within the NGO Sector

    Background

    The Global Methane Hub (GMH) is the first coordinated philanthropic approach to funding methane mitigation. The Hub focuses on the energy, agricultural, and waste sectors, which account for 96% of human-caused methane emissions. We support ambitious catalytic investments, lay the groundwork for long-term transformation, and deliver quick wins ripe for action on the ground.

    GMH advances its mission through three main functions:

    • Regranting: Providing financial support to public-benefit organisations working directly to mitigate methane.
    • Convening: Bringing together governments, civil society, researchers, and funders to align strategies and accelerate coordinated action in the interest of the public benefit.
    • Advising: Serving as a knowledge hub and trusted partner, providing guidance on methane mitigation strategies, data sharing, and field-building.

    Purpose of role

    The Communications Associate will provide project management and coordination support to our communications function during the period. This role reports to the Communications Lead as part of the Strategic Operations Team and works across program and operations teams.

    This role supports the day-to-day activities of the Communications Team, being the primary manager of GMH’s social media presence, and has the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

    Job responsibilities

    The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:

    Project management and grant support

    • Assist in the planning and execution of communications campaigns and initiatives.
    • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication between internal and external stakeholders.
    • Work collaboratively with the program teams to create compelling narratives and case studies that highlight impact and progress.
    • Assist with preparing materials for donor communications that align with organisational goals and messaging.
    • Support internal communication by organising team meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting notes to ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
    • Maintain an organised digital filing system for content, assets, and communications materials.
    • Assist with planning and organising of virtual and in-person events, convenings, and media engagements, both communications-specific and the communications components of stakeholder events.
    • Support the preparation of presentation materials and communications plan for events and coordinate logistics with internal and external partners.
    • Help to manage select communications-focused grants,: review content, prepare docket materials, use Fluxx, and ensure adherence to internal grant making processes.

    Media relations support

    • Assist the Communications Lead with maintaining and updating the media lists, contact databases, and ensuring effective communication with journalists.
    • Help prepare and organise press kits and other media-related materials as part of GMH’s media outreach efforts.
    • Track media coverage and help prepare the weekly press clips and monthly media impact reports on GMH’s mentions and impact across all media channels, including online, print, and social media.
    • Support the Communications Lead to monitor and report on media trends relevant to GMH’s communications goals.
       

    Digital content management & audience 

    • Edit and post compelling digital content for various platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, and blogs to communicate GMH’s impact and achievements in real time.
    • Track and analyse the performance of digital content, social media posts, and campaigns, providing regular reports and insights for continuous improvement.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with online communities, influencers, and media partners to enhance visibility and support for our mission.
    • Assist in responding to inquiries and comments on digital platforms, fostering positive engagement with our audience.
    • Monitor social media through social listening and report relevant trends; monitor trends and propose innovative content strategies to enhance audience engagement.
    • Ensure social media platforms reflect GMH’s mission and goals.
    • Monitors established budget for specific projects or events
    • Prepare and submit expense reports, ensuring compliance with organisational financial policies.

    Terms and conditions

    • This will be a full-time (40 hours/week) remote role and will require time flexibility in order to collaborate with staff and stakeholders in multiple time zones. The position supervisor is in the GMT-5 time zone.

    Background

    Purpose of role 

    The Financial Accountant at the Global Methane Hub is responsible for the statutory accounting and financial reporting for the Netherlands Stichting and supports the accounting operations of GMH’s global activities. Reporting to the Finance Lead, and working closely with the CFAO, the Financial Accountant oversees day-to-day accounting operations, maintains relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations across jurisdictions, and supports financial reporting.

    Job responsibilities

    The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:

    Accounting Operations

    • Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
    • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for all entities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
    • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
    • Support multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions where needed.
    • Ensure accurate accounting for grant income, project expenditure, and donor restrictions.

    Compliance and Statutory Reporting

    • Prepare statutory financial statements for the Netherlands Stichting in accordance with Dutch accounting standards and foundation regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with ANBI requirements and Dutch regulatory obligations.
    • Coordinate with external advisors to support compliance requirements in jurisdictions where GMH operates.
    • Support VAT compliance and coordinate with Dutch tax advisors where required.
    • Ensure financial reporting and accounting practices align with donor restrictions, grant agreements, and fiscal sponsor requirements.
    • Support financial reporting related to grant-funded projects and donor requirements.
    • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.

    Payroll and International Operations

    • Coordinate with payroll providers and Employer of Record partners to ensure payroll costs are accurately recorded and reconciled across various jurisdictions
    • Support accounting for international operations and multi-country activities

    Systems and Process Improvement

    • Maintain the chart of accounts and accounting system configuration.
    • Support improvements to accounting policies, procedures, workflows, systems and internal controls.
    • Ensure accurate data integration between accounting system and other GMH systems, such as the grant management system (Fluxx) and other financial tools.
    • Collaborate with other finance team members on budget vs. actual analysis, variance explanations, and financial forecasting.
    • Provide technical accounting guidance to team members on complex transactions or accounting treatment questions.

    Required

    • Experience supporting Dutch tax compliance, including VAT administration and coordination with tax advisors.

    • Dutch language skills.
