  • Partnerships Manager

Location: Remote/Flexible, with the ability to work core hours (2-5pm UTC) as established by Women Deliver
    Status: Full-Time
    Salary: $80,000 – $82,400 USD + Full Benefits
    Posted Date: August 11, 2026
Priority Deadline: August 25, 2026 (applications will then be reviewed on a rolling basis)
Preferred Start Date: October 1, 2026

Who We Are and What We Do

Women Deliver is a global feminist organization with a clear vision: A gender-just world where all girls, women, and gender-diverse people have control over their bodies and lives. We believe sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are the cornerstones of bodily autonomy and have convened gender equality advocates from all levels of power for almost two decades to advance this cause.

Since our founding 20 years ago, Women Deliver has continually evolved, and this evolution has accelerated following the collapse of the gender equality ecosystem in 2025. Over the past year, in particular, we have shifted our programming, structure, and goals to catalyze and convene the gender equality ecosystem as it became increasingly clear that a shared political vision — and the systemic coordination needed to achieve it — were urgently needed but missing. Our strategic focus is now to build on our legitimacy and brand recognition as a convener, and on the depth and breadth of our partnerships across the gender equality ecosystem, to serve intentionally as an evolved catalytic organization in the current political context.

    Summary of the Position:

At a time when the rights of girls and women are being challenged globally, this is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in mobilizing philanthropy, institutional funders, and the corporate sector to accelerate gender equality and help build a more just, equitable, and inclusive world.

We are seeking an ambitious relationship-oriented Partnerships Manager to lead and grow our portfolio of funding partners. This role will help to ensure that Women Deliver maintains its strong convening and catalytic role in the gender equality space by securing and stabilizing a solid funding base.

The Partnerships Manager plays a central role in building and sustaining accountable, mutually responsive relationships with Women Deliver’s institutional, philanthropic, and corporate funding partners throughout the grant lifecycle.

This exciting role leads day-to-day account management, coordinates grant reporting and partner engagement, and supports the renewal of funding agreements grounded in shared commitment to the mission. Working across the organization to ensure Women Deliver delivers on its commitments, this role serves as the primary link between funders and internal teams, building durable, principled relationships that sustain long-term investment in the movement for gender equality.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Partnerships and Resource Mobilization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Partner Account Management

    • Manage a portfolio of institutional, philanthropic, and corporate funding partners, serving as the primary day-to-day relationship manager.
    • Develop and implement partner account plans that support strong stewardship, engagement, and long-term partnership growth.
    • Coordinate regular partner meetings, learning sessions, and strategic check-ins.
    • Support the coordination of Women Deliver’s funding partner engagement around strategic moments in the global calendar, including Women Deliver events (including Conferences), the UN General Assembly, and other global spaces to deepen relationships, support partnership cultivation and renewal.
    • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and follow-up actions for partner engagements (incl. In support of the President/CEOs meetings with funding partners).
    • Monitor partner satisfaction and identify opportunities to deepen relationships and increase long-term value.
    • Steward the Partnerships team’s use of Salesforce for effective partnership management, ensuring accurate, timely, and current tracking of partner records. Continuously define and improve how Salesforce is used for donor tracking, including gift commitments, prospects, and dashboarding, in service of more coordinated and data-informed partnership decisions.

    Grant Management & Renewals

    • Lead the coordination of grant reporting, managing related project plans, and ensuring all reports are high quality and submitted on time.
    • Manage grant calendars, reporting schedules, and key partnership milestones.
    • Manage and coordinate reporting inputs from program, finance, communications, and Design, Learning, and Impact teams.
    • Maintain donor pipeline and coordinate regularly with finance to track revenue and receivables.
    • Support the development and negotiation of grant renewals, amendments and extensions by coordinating internal planning, partner communications, and proposal development.
    • Identify renewal opportunities early and help ensure a seamless transition from reporting to renewed investment.
    • Develop partnership engagement opportunities and communications to help build and grow a community of funders who support Women Deliver and its mission.

    Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Serve as the central coordinator for partner commitments and communications across the organization, liaising regularly and consistently with teams and responding to partners.
    • Track actions arising from partner meetings and ensure timely follow-up, including with internal teams.
    • Coordinate with Senior Manager, Design, Learning and Impact, and Senior Associate, Finance (Budgeting and Grants), to track progress on grant deliverables and identify delivery risks and work with internal teams to resolve issues proactively.
    • Strengthen partnership management processes, tools, and templates, including collaborating with the Chief of Staff on institutional stewardship of Salesforce use organization-wide.
    • Improve reporting workflows and stewardship practices to enhance efficiency and partner experience.
    • Contribute insights that support stronger partner retention, renewals, and long-term engagement.

    Qualifications:

    • 6-8 years of progressive work experience in nonprofit fundraising, strategic partnerships, business development, or philanthropy, with a demonstrated track record of securing and managing institutional, corporate, and/or major donor partnerships.
    • Proven track record of managing strategic partnerships, key accounts, grants or institutional donors and increasing their financial and non-financial value over time.
    • Understanding of the international development sector, including experience in fundraising for gender equality, advocacy, or related area.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities. Experience with project management tools such as Asana, a plus.
    • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Demonstrated experience with CRM and/or grant management systems. Experience directly with Salesforce is a plus.
    • Exceptional written communication, including experience preparing donor reports and partner materials.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
    • Experience in philanthropy or nonprofit partnerships is desirable.
    • Commitment to fostering an anti-racist and inclusive workplace required.

  • Senior Manager, Portfolio Funding Support

    Your mission

Maliasili is a dynamic and innovative organization that is taking a different approach to drive locally-led conservation impact in Africa. We find the best local African conservation organizations and make them better by strengthening their organizational performance, leadership, and resourcing so that they can achieve greater impact. Our partner portfolio includes outstanding local and national organizations at the forefront of wildlife conservation, land restoration, and coastal fisheries. Our partners are pioneering conservation approaches grounded in community and indigenous land rights, generating economic opportunities from nature-based businesses, and restoring ecosystems across many of Africa’s most important landscapes.

Since its founding over a decade ago, Maliasili has built a portfolio of roughly 55 partners working across over 64 million hectares of critical landscapes and ecosystems in seventeen countries. We have helped our partners generate or leverage more than $27.3 million in funding for their work, developed a growing set of tools to help improve their organizational performance, and supported many of our partners to grow their impacts in the field significantly. Our goals are to build a portfolio of Africa’s best local conservation organizations, help them collaborate and learn from each other, and scale up their community-based conservation work on the ground and their leadership capacity within the conservation field.

    Your profile

    Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Partner Funding, leads three connected strands of collective action and fundraising work. The first is building the methodologies, tools, and training that strengthen Maliasili’s and the Portfolio team’s ability to support partners’ resource mobilization. The second, equally central, is working directly with partners themselves: troubleshooting fundraising challenges as they arise, designing and facilitating cluster fundraising workshops, and helping partners build robust, realistic fundraising plans. The third is supporting Maliasili’s and partners’ donor engagement work, including furthering donor relationships and Vuma Fund positioning, supporting the border shift to “better money” for community-led conservation. Working closely with Communications, Portfolio, and FAD, the Senior Manager also ensures that fundraising methodology and funding-pipeline thinking show up in how partners are supported to communicate and pursue funding, not just in internal tools and guides.

Working under the strategic direction of the Director, Collective Action and Funding, the Senior Manager operates with high levels of autonomy, exercising independent judgment in methodology design, training delivery, direct partner engagement, and select donor relationships. This is a developmental leadership role: as the Senior Manager’s capability and tenure grow, the role is expected to progressively take on elements of strategic representation and support for the Director.

    Strategic Context

This role supports Goal 3: Improving and Increasing Funding by leading the tools, training, and internal systems that help Portfolio Managers and partners access more and better funding. The Senior Manager will take on some strategic-support responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    Fundraising Methodology & Tools (20%)

    • Lead the development and codification of fundraising methodologies, tools, and practical guides for the Portfolio team and partners
    • Own the fundraising resource library and its integration into the Wezesha Hub and other knowledge-sharing platforms
    • Set the improvement agenda for methodology and tools based on Portfolio and partner feedback

Portfolio Manager Support and Strengthening  (25%)

    • Design and deliver materials and support that strengthen Portfolio Managers’ ability to diagnose and support partner fundraising needs
    • Establish and manage a regular cadence of fundraising clinics, office hours, and strategy sessions with the Portfolio team
    • Serve as a bridge between the CAF team and Portfolio, ensuring there is clear understanding of the work, progress, and strategy of the CAF team amongst Portfolio team members

    Direct Fundraising Support & (25%)

    • Provide direct fundraising support to partners on complex or higher-stakes opportunities, serving as a trusted advisor
    • Identify and help broker new funding opportunities for partners, connecting them with aligned donors
    • Design and lead clustered fundraising workshops that build skills and generate new opportunities

    Donor Engagement (20%)

    • Support the Director on select donor relationships and represent CAF in select donor conversations as delegated
    • Support the Director in positioning and advancing the Vuma Fund, with the Director retaining overall leadership
    • Contribute to fundraising strategy discussions and materials in support of the $65M goal

Cross-Team Coordination and Growing Strategic Support (10%)

    • Coordinate with Finance and Admin, Strategic Initiatives, Communications, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning to ensure fundraising systems integrate with organization-wide data and learning platforms

    What Success Looks Like

    • Portfolio team is equipped with high-quality, well-used fundraising methodologies and training
    • Clustered workshops and case clinics result in new funding secured and stronger peer relationships
    • Partners report increased fundraising capacity and confidence as a result of direct support
    • Demonstrated growth in independent donor engagement and representation, with an emerging capability to deputize for the Director on defined matters
    • Strong, trusted working relationship with the Director and the two Senior Manager peers
    • Where relevant and of interest, growing contribution to collective action activities (community building, peer learning, or aggregated impact messaging) alongside core fundraising duties

Note on Role Design / Growth Pathway

This role is intended as the primary internal pipeline toward a future Deputy Director-level position. Deputizing and top-tier donor responsibilities are deliberately introduced gradually and by delegation rather than assigned in full from the outset, so the person can build credibility and capability without being placed under immediate performance pressure at Deputy Director scope. Expansion of this role’s scope should be reviewed periodically against demonstrated readiness.

    Optional Growth Area: Collective Action

The Senior Manager, Collective Action position is not currently filled. Depending on the interests and demonstrated capability of the individual in this role, there is room to informally and opportunistically take on selected elements of that scope over time – particularly community building and partner engagement, peer learning and convenings/workshops, and aggregated impact and collective voice/messaging. Country-level and regional coordination is not included in this growth area.

This is not a formal or expected part of the role at this time and is not reflected in the responsibility weightings above. If it becomes a substantial and sustained part of the role, the title, compensation, and this TOR should be reviewed and formalized accordingly.

    Reporting and Supervision

Reports to: Director, Collective Action and Funding (peer to Senior Manager, Grantmaking and Partner Funding, and Senior Manager, Collective Action)

Collaborates with: Senior Manager (Grantmaking and Partner Funding), Senior Manager (Collective Action), Portfolio Managers, Communications team, FAD team
