About the Position
We are seeking a well organized, technologically-savvy, self-motivated individual for a Travel & Logistics Specialist contractor. The person will handle the travels of the fellows and staff, and coordinate program logistics and events. The ideal candidate would have exceptional coordination skills, travel management expertise, enthusiasm for our mission, and English language proficiency.
This is a 6 month contract.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and book all transportation, lodging, meeting space, and logistics required for the programs.
- Prepare traveler packets, including event guides, hotel details, flight itineraries, and more.
- Handle logistics and arrangements for the programs’ events, meetings, sessions, workshops, and seminars, both online and in-person.
- Manage timely execution of vendor deliverables/obligations.
- Work with team to ensure internal processes are followed through regarding fellows travel, and vendor management.
- Support empowerment team with in-person and online training logistics as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics, event management, and arranging travel, transportation and lodging for international travelers.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors such as travel agencies, hotels and transportation companies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills (English a must; any additional language a bonus).
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems, analyze information and standard practices to make judgments.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively build working relationships with others to achieve goals.
- Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as with external stakeholders.
- Excellent computer literate in standard applications (MS Office suit as a minimum).
- Familiarity with Salesforce, mostly Community, Marketing and Events tools.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Commitment to the Internet Society’s mission, values, and objectives.
