Job Description
Would you like to use your project management knowledge and skills to help Tearfund reach its goal? Tearfund in Chad is looking for a highly skilled and talented individual to occupy the role of a Project Officer on a Gender and Advocacy project in Sarl. The post holder will:
- Implement project activities in its area, according to the approaches and modalities;
- Undertake field missions to initiate project activities in partnership with implementing actors;
- Provide technical support to project partners according to their responsibilities;
- Ensure that project activities carried out in the provinces are sensitive to conflicts;
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards, technical supervision and quality control of the implemented project and the results produced in all 2 provinces;
- Ensure monitoring, supervision and support of partners according to established clauses, in particular by developing work plans and carrying out regular field visits to monitor and advise field teams (supervisors, facilitators, church leaders , opinion etc.) in the execution of the project;
- Contribute to the development of quality reports, the documentation of results, good practices and lessons learned; and monitoring-evaluation processes;
- Ensure monitoring of the budget allocated to activities in each zone;
- Provide technical support and capacity building to project partners under his responsibility;
- Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of activities;
- Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly schedules of project activities in conjunction with the parties;
- Draft terms of reference, internal weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of project activities on time in accordance with Tearfund’s internal requirements and external donor requirements;
The role holder is agile, a fast learner and team player. S/he is goal oriented, with the ability to think through technically. S/he has the awareness of the relief business environment and ability to relate well in a cross-cultural environment.
Applicants must be committed to Tearfund’s Christian beliefs. We would expect applicants to be able to demonstrate a clear and specific desire to work in Sarl, Chad. This position comes with an annual consolidated compensation of XoF 9,600,000.
