Program Coordinator

About the Melton Foundation

Founded in 1991, the Melton Foundation is a global non-profit organization dedicated to fostering Global Citizenship, enabling individuals and organizations to collaborate across boundaries of place, sector, and identity to address societal and environmental challenges. The Foundation has grown into a vibrant community of over 650 Melton Fellows worldwide.

Through fellowships, collaborative initiatives, and learning programs, we equip young change-makers with knowledge, skills, and networks to address global challenges, advance social impact, and build a more inclusive and sustainable world.

About the Programs

The Melton Foundation offers programs that provide young changemakers with an immersive eight-month journey of learning, collaboration, and social impact:

  • Global Citizenship Learning Program : Aimed at university students, this program focuses on building leadership, critical thinking, and Global Citizenship skills through interactive workshops, collaborative projects, and reflective learning experiences.
  • Global Solvers Accelerator: Designed for young social entrepreneurs who already have their own projects, the GSA accelerates transformative change. Over an eight-month journey, participants engage in peer learning, mentorship, and applied project work that advances the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Both programs serve as gateways into the life-long, supported Melton Fellowship, connecting participants to a global network of changemakers and collaborators.

Role Overview

The Program Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination and delivery of Global Citizenship Learning Program and Global Solvers Accelerator. This position combines operational excellence with people-centered engagement, from managing program logistics, learning resources, and documentation to co-hosting online sessions and maintaining communications with participants across continents.

This role is ideal for a professional with experience in intercultural collaboration, experiential learning, global team coordination, and program management.

Position Details

  • Role: Program Coordinator
  • Location: Global (remote), occasional travel may be required
  • Type: Full-time (35–40 hours/week)
  • Working hours: Flexible, with online availability 12–3pm GMT, including weekends
  • Duration:  January to December 2026, with the possibility of extension
  • Salary: Based on market standards in the applicant’s tax-paying region, as well as their qualifications and previous experience.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must have a minimum of two years’ experience in program facilitation, as well as demonstrated experience in education and curriculum design. Please refer to the Qualifications and Requirements section for more details.

Key Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator ensures a seamless and enriching experience for participants by managing operations, supporting learning, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the program team in facilitating the Global Citizenship Learning Program and Global Solvers Accelerator virtual learning journeys
  • Serving as a point of contact for participants, guiding them from selection and onboarding through program completion, answering queries, and sharing timely updates
  • Tracking participants’ progress and ensuring timely contributions, task completion, and follow-up
  • Coordinating live meetings, workshops, and program activities across multiple time zones
  • Co-hosting online sessions and providing real-time technical and logistical support
  • Collecting and analyzing feedback to support continuous improvement in participant experience
  • Preparing program reports, presentations, and learning materials
  • Maintaining organized records of program activities, communications, and resources, including the Howspace learning platform
  • Assisting in planning and executing in-person events such as the Global Citizenship Convention and Global Solvers Co-Lab
  • Liaising with Melton Foundation staff, facilitators, collaborators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth program delivery

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to Global Citizenship and social impact. Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field
  • Professional experience in community engagement, education, social innovation, sustainability, or related fields
  • Applicants must have at least 2 years of demonstrated, hands-on experience in program coordination, virtual facilitation, curriculum implementation, or leading multidisciplinary learning initiatives.
  • Experience working in intercultural teams and across time zones
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfort with co-hosting online sessions (Zoom or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with collaborative digital tools such as Zoom, Google Workspace, Miro, Notion, Canva; experience with Howspace LMS is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with flexibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Flexibility in schedule, including willingness to work weekends
  • Access to a personal laptop or computer and reliable internet connection
