Monitoring and Evaluation Lead

About the Role

The M&E Lead in the Secretariat is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing monitoring and evaluation systems that measure the effectiveness and impact of MYCP’s advocacy, campaigns, and wider programming. This role ensures accountability, supports learning, and strengthens the evidence base for MYCP’s advocacy strategies. This role reports directly to the MYCP Global Coordinator. This is a compensated position, with a maximum budget of €3500. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and implement M&E frameworks and tools to track the impact of MYCP’s work
  • Establish indicators and metrics for research quality, advocacy, policy engagement, and youth participation/outreach, and collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to measure effectiveness and outcomes
  • Supporting the implementation and creation of the MYCP Theory of Change 
  • Produce regular monitoring reports and contribute to impact assessments, and work with campaign and programme teams to integrate key learnings 
  • Support capacity building for team members on monitoring and evaluation

Person Specification

  • Aged between 18 and 30 years old
  • Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), preferably in advocacy, policy, or social change initiatives
  • Strong skills in designing indicators, data collection tools, and impact frameworks
  • Understanding of migration and migration policy issues, preferably with lived experience 
  • Excellent writing, organisation and communication skills and command of English (fluency in one or more other UN languages is desirable)
  • Ability to analyze data and produce accessible, actionable reports
