As part of our global organization, we are seeking an Impact Reporting Analyst to join the Impact, Learning and Development team. You will play a pivotal role in measure our impact against the theory of change and communicate our impact to our institutional funders.

 

The Impact Reporting Analyst owns institutional grant reporting at WBA and supports the fundraising process by providing impact related inputs into funder proposals and by supporting or leading on other grant reporting tasks. The Analyst will draw on their experience of drafting clear and compelling narratives to prepare written grant reports which are supported by data from WBA’s Results Management Framework.

Additionally, the Impact Reporting Analyst will offer support to the Impact Researchers to manage and visualise impact data for inclusion in grant reports.

 

What you will do:

 

Reporting:

  • Own institutional grant reporting at WBA, briefing and orchestrating the input of relevant colleagues including funder relationship leads, subject matter experts, finance and other colleagues as required.
  • Develop a temporal view of impact, e.g. from monthly to quarterly to annually, to bring a coherence and consistency to what we are measuring and to develop impact pathway (ref. Theory of Change) specific narrative arcs.
  • Use impact data from the Results Management Framework to draft institutional funder grant reports as per grant reporting schedules set out in grant agreements. Develop storylines which demonstrate impact on funder interests and objectives.
  • Surface what has not gone to plan and contextualise learnings over the course of grant reporting cycles
  • Provide staff with insights and impact data from the Results Management Framework at different points in the fundraising cycle, as requested.
  • Support non institutional grant owners on their grant reporting tasks with insight and data from the Results Management Framework as requested.

Impact data management and visualisation

  • Manage and develop the Results Management Framework (RMF) to measure progress against the WBA Theory of Change; Identify what we want to measure and how we will measure it
  • Support the Impact Researchers with the development of internal systems (e.g. Airtable) to capture information and training materials and workshops around impact data
  • Support the Impact Researchers with the visualisation of impact data to develop insights and embed visualisations into grant reports as needed

 

What we are looking for:

  • 3-5years of experience working on donor-funded programs and writing and compiling grant reports.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data management and analysis, and embedding data and data visuals into grant reports.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of R statistical software and data visualization software like PowerBI or Tableau a strong advantage; experience collecting and managing data in Airtable a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A curious and collaborative nature.
