About the Position

The Fundraising Coordinator will work in service of the Internet Society Foundation’s (Foundation) mission and will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, impactful work. The Fundraising Coordinator will be a well-organized, flexible individual with strong verbal and written communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced, globally diverse setting. The Fundraising Coordinator will work directly with the Fundraising Team Corporate and Individual Giving Senior Directors and/or Director and support them in their work to identify, acquire, steward and retain corporate and individual donors through a range of activities including, sponsorships, organization memberships, corporate donations and individual giving programs and campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in updating and maintaining accurate donor information and records in Salesforce.
  • Conduct donor research assignments under guidance from Senior Directors/Directors and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work with Individual Giving program to manage year-round stewardship and personalized communications for the individual giving program, including ensuring prompt gift acknowledgement and project updates. Support coordination with the Communications and Marketing team to align on these activities.
  • Support the Individual Giving program by monitoring and reporting on the progress of fundraising campaigns, ensuring accurate tracking and regular updates on campaign performance.
  • Support corporate sponsorships program by collecting and uploading logos, creating invoices, setting up new sponsors in the system, and creating standard sponsorship agreements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrable ability to work in a remote, fast-paced multi-cultural environment and interact quickly and communicate skillfully with different internal and external constituencies digitally/virtually.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver presentations in a professional manner.
  • Ability to travel globally as required, likely 1 -2 times per quarter.
  • Commitment to the Internet Society Foundation’s organizational mission, vision and values.
  • Exceptionally motivated, organized, and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize many projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of donor management systems/CRM, Salesforce preferred.
  • Ability to be flexible and work with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Ability to communicate in a culturally appropriate and inclusive manner.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising and revenue generation.
  • Experience with donor and supporter relations.
  • Passion for, and demonstrated commitment to, a more accessible and trustworthy Internet for all.
  • Additional language skills such as Spanish or French will be considered a plus.

Compensation and benefits for this position will be paid in local currency and based on the country and geographic location’s local salary and benefits market data for the position. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to relevant qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, business and organizational needs.
