Thembiso Lungu Mugamanzila is a passionate and dedicated advocate for mental health and youth & Women empowerment. With a background in psychology & strategic leadership. Thembiso has committed her career to improving mental health services and promoting wellness in her community. Her journey began with a deep interest in understanding the psychological and social factors that impact mental health, which led her to pursue degrees in Psychology.

After graduating, Thembiso worked with several non-governmental organizations, focusing on mental health awareness and education. She played a pivotal role in initiating community-based mental health programs, which aimed to destigmatize mental health issues and provide accessible support to those in need.

Thembiso’s work caught the attention of MindAid Zambia, where she currently serves as a key member of the team. At MindAid, she collaborates with local organizations to develop innovative solutions to mental health challenges, including integrating mental health services with other community support systems.

In addition to her work with MindAid Zambia, Thembiso is a prominent advocate for tele-mental health, recognizing its potential to reach underserved populations. Her efforts in this area led her to be a part of the young African Leaders initiative YALI in which she served as a young African leader, crafting her skills relating to policy development and implementation on the importance of mental health care.

Thembiso’s dedication extends beyond her professional life. She is actively involved in organizing outreach projects and workshops for young people, empowering them to take charge of their mental health and well-being.

With a vision to create a society where mental health is prioritized and accessible to all, Thembiso Lungu Mugamanzila continues to inspire and lead with compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication.
