Operations and Projects Manager

• Responsible for the daily operation on the Secunda office • Manage key client projects including the coordination and completion of the projects • Preparation of scope of works for projects. Executing EPC projects. • Determine, coordinate and manage the design, procurement and installation programmes. • Monitor capacity and initiate the outsourcing of works should the need arise. • Facilitate communication between all internal departments to ensure the output meets clients’ specifications. • Managed projects, project co-ordination with customers, contractors or suppliers, supplier or contractor inspections to check standards. • Site liaison with customers • Ensure adherence to OHSAS 18000 & Mines, Health and Safety Act on the plant projects. • Ensure adherence to SHEQ standards • Responsible for overseeing capital, (budgeting, applications and cash flows). • Responsible for technical bids evaluation, recommendations and held service provider site meetings. • Business development • Escalate matters to the Director when necessary • Contribute ideas for making the Projects and deliverables release with better quality • Use project management methodologies to plan, track and monitor projects • Managed project scope, schedule, and costs through regular verification techniques resulting in a 10% decrease in overall project costs. • Utilized effective change management strategies to successfully implement changes to the project scope and schedule, resulting in a 15% improvement in project efficiency. • Implemented robust cost control measures that reduced project costs by 20%, ensuring the project remained within budget constraints • Perform risk management to minimize project risks • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels • Leveraged team members' unique skill sets and experience levels to delegate project tasks, resulting in a 20% increase in overall efficiency. • Implemented a comprehensive assessment system to identify junior staff members' individual strengths, allowing for more targeted task delegation and leading to a 15% reduction in errors.
