In my current role as Senior Finance Specialist at TechnoServe Tanzania, I have honed my skills in financial advice and information dissemination. I regularly prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with program operations. My responsibilities also include providing financial advice to the Country Director and Program Managers, managing payroll, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. My experience with diverse funding sources, including USAID, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Global Affairs Canada, has equipped me with the knowledge to navigate complex donor guidelines and regulations effectively.
A notable achievement in my current role is facilitating TechnoServe securing a Charitable Status certificate, resulting in significant tax savings for the organization. This experience underscores my ability to manage tax matters and ensure compliance with country laws and regulations. My proactive approach to managing Budgets and cash flow, preparing Annual Financial Statements, and maintaining accurate financial records has consistently supported the financial health of the organizations I have worked with.
My experience in payment management, and liquidity management is complemented by my ability to provide insightful financial reports and analyses. I have successfully supported period-end closures and coordinated both internal and external audits, ensuring transparent and accurate financial reporting.
