About me
I love hearing about new things. I hate talking about myself. So here are four not-so-brief things about me and my work endeavors. In, out, and maybe you will be intrigued enough to connect.
1. I started working as early as the sixth grade at my parent’s factory manning: sewing, welding, and packaging machinery. This was the greatest start to my career because manual labor taught me patience and that mastery of any skill requires is through practice. And even though my parents regretted hiring me they were going to live with me for the rest of their lives. I ended up working there every summer until I finished middle school. It was a humbling experience I am still thankful for.
2. My first official job was at a life insurance company as a claims assessor; My responsibilities ranged from assessing claims to creating reports and data manipulation for the company’s portfolio, which was challenging at first. My manager though was kind enough to hear my pitches about how we can better document and automate our system and records. Data analysis was a topic of interest for me then and still is. Thus, when I devised my first solid idea of starting a new initiative called “Collated Data Transformation” she was thrilled and appointed me as the mover and shaker of the so-called project. Marking the start of something that was my own as much as it was the company’s.
3. I don’t like to advertise this, but I am completely unemployable. I was only able to learn a lot in my previous jobs and work so many various functions because I was lucky. All thanks to the kind people who heard me out. I am grateful for all the opportunities I was offered and I still have so much to learn. Thus, I solemnly promise to try my hardest to be worthy of the upcoming starts.
