I was awarded a Norec fellowship for spearheading a stakeholder influence program and coordinating research that exposed socioeconomic and environmental challenges at community and national levels, complemented by a documentary and advocacy tools. I also collaborated with Catholic, Protestant, and Muslim faith leaders to establish a communications and advocacy initiative, including the Interfaith Standing Committee on Economic Justice and Integrity of Creation (ISCEJIC). This work honed my intercultural skills, preparing me to develop similar program components with the Norwegian Church Aid Partnership in Zambia.

Development Policies and Practices
Having co-founded Foundation for ASM Development, an non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) working with Artisanal and Small-scale Miners in Tanzania and establishing strong networking with partners in Switzerland, I was awarded a scholarship to undertake the Development Policies and Practices (DPP) programme, a period which I used to deepen my knowledge on the economies of the ASM sector with a special focus on the Artisanal and Small-scale Gold Mining (ASGM) sub-sector. My research looked at the Awareness structures on Health and Environmental impacts of Mercury use in ASGM operations.
