Position Overview
Fora is seeking a Communications Coordinator to create, write, and distribute a broad range of organizational communications — both internal and external — that promote Fora’s brand, mission, and values. Reportingto the Manager of Communications C Marketing, this role is responsible for implementing and executing thevast majority of Fora’s day-to-day communications work. It is a dynamic, creative, and highly rewardingposition that sits at the intersection of storytelling, design, digital strategy, and community building.
The Coordinator plays a key role in the creative development, and implementation of all communications, marketing, and advertising to increase stakeholder engagement and awareness. This position plays a leadrole in holding relationships with the Fora community members. The ideal candidate thrives in execution: theyare energized by bringing campaign visions to life, designing assets that resonate, and working across adiverse range of tasks with focus and adaptability. Also, they should competently communicate about abroad diversity of policy topics. These include gender equality, equity, inclusion, and the rights of gender-marginalized individuals. They should bring experience and/or familiarity with how these issues affect gender-marginalized youth around the world.
The successful candidate is also a positive and outgoing individual who is as comfortable workingindependently as they are being a collaborative team player. They receive feedback with openness and willingness to adapt, learn and grow. An independent learner, this individual takes initiative to learn newtechnologies and skills as needed.
This role will entail:
General Communications s Content (70%)
- Manage Fora’s social media channels: craft and schedule content, grow audiences, and buildrelationships in online communities
- Write and edit blog posts and other long-form content that reflect Fora’s voice and values
- Create captivating, on-brand visual assets using graphic design tools
- Support the production of video content, including editing for campaigns and digital platforms
- Manage and regularly update Fora’s website (hosted on Squarespace), ensuring it is functional,accessible, optimized, and current
- Create and execute Fora’s communications content calendar, including content tied to key campaigns (e.g., Leadership Forum, International Women’s Day, Giving Tuesday)
- Develop and implement email marketing efforts, including Fora’s monthly newsletter, email funnels, automations, and sequences
- Lead the execution and set up of online event platforms for workshops and trainings
- Collaborate with the Advocacy and Programs team to develop content around notable events and dates
- Support leadership in developing Fora’s brand identity, tone, and voice — including inclusive languagethat centres equity
- Support the writing of communications materials for fundraising initiatives, events, and campaigns
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager and development team to integrate digital strategieswith fund development activities
Marketing s Advertising (30%):
- Create, manage, and optimize online advertising, including social media and Meta/Facebook ads
- Monitor, analyze, and report on metrics and analytics to support program optimization, userexperience improvements, and strategic objectives
- Support digital marketing execution for paid and organic marketing campaigns
Work Requirements
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Must reside in Canada for the duration of the contract
- Ability to work remotely with dedicated at-home office space.
- Ability to work flexible hours on occasions – support workshops in the evening and on weekends.

The candidate should have:
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, or a related field (employmentand/or volunteer)
- Strong graphic design skills and comfort with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite)
- Experience with social media management and content creation
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with Squarespace or similar website CMS platforms
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and campaign management
- Experience with video editing is a strong asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Education s Certifications
- Post-secondary degree or Certificate in Communications, Marketing, or Media Studies (or in arelevant field) is an asset, but not essential.
- A combination of lived experience and non-academic credentials is also valued
