Head of Network Development

HelpAge International is seeking an experienced leader to head its global network development work, strengthening engagement, localisation and capacity sharing across a diverse global network of 200+ organisations in 99 countries.

The postholder will lead delivery of the HelpAge network strategy, champion locally led action, support country transitions, foster collaboration and learning across the global network, and build strong partnerships that advance the rights, dignity and wellbeing of older people. The role provides strategic leadership for network development and member engagement across all regions and plays a key role in strengthening the resilience and sustainability of the HelpAge global network.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience leading membership networks, alliances or partnership portfolios within international development, humanitarian or civil society contexts. They will demonstrate strong strategic leadership skills, experience advancing localisation and partner-led approaches, and a track record of working with civil society organisations and networks in Global South contexts. Candidates should also have experience in income generation, donor relationship management and resource mobilisation, as well as leading diverse international teams. Familiarity with ageing, inclusion and rights issues would be an advantage. Additional language skills such as Spanish, French or Arabic are highly desirable.
