Position Summary

Are you someone with a creative eye and a professional edge — who cares deeply about how something looks and reads, and who is just as tuned in to the needs of the people you’re communicating with? Do you want to join a dynamic nonprofit that’s committed to creating meaningful change?

This is an opportunity to join Planeterra at the heart of our partnerships team — owning the communications and coordination work that keeps our partner relationships running well, while building direct relationship management experience over time. If you take pride in the craft of communication – in design, in detail, in getting the tone right – and bring that same care to the people and relationships behind it, this role is for you. The role is remote, deadline-driven, and suits someone who holds themselves to high standards – delivering high-quality work on time and on budget.

What You’ll Do

You’ll support the Partnerships Manager across communication, coordination, and relationship management — taking ownership of foundational tasks first, and expanding your scope as you grow into the role. Your work spans four areas:

Reporting & Partner Communication

  • Support the development and implementation of partner communication plans, contributing to key messages, formats, channels, and timelines
  • Prepare communication materials — summaries, dashboards, brief updates, and presentations – to support alignment across teams internally and externally
  • Structure and present programme progress, financial data, and results in a clear and partner-relevant way
  • Coordinate the development of partner reports — quarterly, annual, and ad hoc — ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with agreed deliverables
  • Support the development of impact reporting to help partners understand the difference their investment makes

Content & Materials Development

  • Coordinate the development of destination-level communication materials, including content for travellers, guides, and in-destination use
  • Support the creation of visual and written content assets, including experience descriptions, photos, and videos
  • Support the development of partner-facing content, including social media, articles, and communication materials
  • Contribute to impact stories and case studies that demonstrate partnership results
  • Ensure partners are appropriately featured across website content, reports, and publications
  • Support joint communication outputs such as campaigns, presentations, and events
  • Ensure information about Planeterra’s community partners and experiences is consistent, accurate, and accessible across all channels

Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular working relationships with partner communications, marketing, and fundraising teams, ensuring alignment and smooth coordination
  • Ensure communication activities are well-coordinated, realistic, and aligned with partnership priorities
  • Oversee relationships with DMCs and travel agencies, serving as a reliable point of contact
  • Support the development and delivery of partner onboarding and training materials
  • Over time, take on increasing responsibility for direct account management across the partner portfolio

Administration, Coordination & CRM

  • Keep the partner and prospect CRM accurate, up to date, and well-organised
  • Support the assessment of new partnership leads, helping to evaluate fit and readiness for engagement
  • Provide general administrative support to the Partnerships Manager, including document preparation and internal coordination
  • Work across teams to gather inputs, ensure consistency in communication outputs, and maintain alignment with brand guidelines and partner requirements
  • Ensure all communication outputs are delivered on time and meet quality standards

Our Ideal Candidate

This role suits someone who is at an earlier stage in their career but already has a clear professional identity — someone who knows how they work, holds themselves to a high standard, and doesn’t need external pressure to stay on top of things.

Experience & skills

  • A genuine interest in responsible travel, impact, sustainability, and/or social entrepreneurship
  • Experience in communications, reporting, or content development
  • Experience in the tourism or travel industry is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal English — you can write a clear partner report and an engaging impact story with equal confidence
  • A strong aesthetic sensibility — you know how to put together a presentation that is clear, well-designed, and a pleasure to read
  • Experience working with or alongside stakeholder, partner, or account management functions
  • Proficiency in Canva, Google Slides, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and project management tools
  • Curious about technology and excited by what AI makes possible — you like to explore and experiment.

How you work

  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills, with genuine interest in understanding partner needs and expectations
  • Highly organised and dependable, with a strong track record of following through on commitments
  • Self-driven and effective in a remote setting — manages time well, communicates proactively, and flags issues early
  • Exceptional attention to detail across all written and visual outputs
  • Professionally adaptable — able to calibrate tone and presentation style to suit the audience, from internal coordination to senior partner engagement

About this role

  • This is a remote work opportunity; however, candidates will ideally be based in one of the following regions: Europe, North Africa, or East/Southeast Asia would be an advantage
  • Must have the capability to work from home (stable internet connection).
  • Full Time (independent contract at start, possibility for an employment contract in the future, will depend on country location).
  • Attending organizational meetings and events outside of typical work hours may be required due to time zone differences.
  • Occasional travel, both regional and international, may be required
  • Benefits: 15 days paid leave, plus birthday, holiday bonus day, and six wellbeing days
  • All mandatory public holidays based on country of residence
  • Health benefits or allowance depending on nature of employment contract
  • Travel benefit (details to be provided)
