Digital Policy Analyst
(full-time, remote)
The Digital Policy Alert is seeking a Digital Policy Analyst to join its team of global professionals. Governments worldwide are creating rules for AI, data, online content, and other areas of the digital economy at an unprecedentedpace. We are looking for an analyst who can track, interpret, and communicate these developments with precision and wants to build their expertise at the intersection of policy and technology.
Main responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on digital policy developments.
- Contribute to country-level and comparative analyses on global digital policy.
- Pursue stakeholder engagement and outreach to increase our visibility.
- Use cutting-edge technology to create high-quality output and explore the frontier of knowledge work.
Requirements
- Degree in law, political science, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in international policy analysis or a related role.
- Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex legal and policy documents.
- Knowledge of or demonstrated interest in digital policy, including AI governance, data protection, content moderation, competition, digital trade, or related areas.
- Fluency in English. Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with multiple deadlines.

The Digital Policy Alert is the second initiative of the St. Gallen Endowment for Prosperity Through Trade, an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting transparency in trade, industrial, and digital policy. We maintain a structured public record of government policies affecting the digital economy, covering 12,000+ policy measures across 60+ jurisdictions since 2021. Our team also maintains the Global Trade Alert database and develops dashboards, APIs, and LLM tools in-house to facilitate access to verified information on global policy developments.
